Australian-born, German based musician and producer Michael Mortlock celebrates the release of Ericeira, his second single from the upcoming EP, a hypnotic and melodic journey inspired by his time living in the coastal area of Portugal.

Dresden / Berlin based Australian artist Michael Mortlock switches effortlessly between visual arts and original music works. Much of his time, during the ten years he has been based in Europe, has involved photography, video and graphic design for a variety of other musicians including Mogli, Rey&Kjavik, Len Faki, Clemens Christian Poetzsch and Sven Helbig. Michael took a lot of his early musical inspiration from the European Electronic music scene, so after early releases of house and techno music via the Australian based Long Distance Recordings label, Michael’s relocation to Germany (and for some on the north coast of Portugal) – opened up the scope of what he could see and do artistically.

Now, with the establishment of his own independent label &flows, MORTLOCK releases his second single this year titled Ericeira. The first track Summer Storm already out there.

Ericeira, a township on the west coast of Portugal, was released on October 29th followed soon after by Deep Water – a collaboration between Mortlock and Tasmanian based singer / songwriter PARKER.
